Welcome to Forever Friends Montessori & afterschool service
Introduction
Forever friends fosters a welcoming, safe and quality childcare for all our families in a warm caring and child led environment. We strive to provide the best in all areas to ensure the child’s developmental needs and overall wellbeing are always met. We are Tusla approved and inspected.
Age groups
Our service provides a breakfast club from 8 am to 9 am each morning and afterschool service from 1.40 pm to 6 pm daily. We provide snacks for the children and supervise homework and provide games/activities daily.
Our preschool room caters for children from 2 1/2 up to five years. The early childhood care and education scheme (ECCE) provides 2 years of free preschool to children.
Curriculum
Our curriculum follows Aistear aims and learning goals and the Siolta principals. The Montessori methods is incorporated into this daily. Our learning is based on a child led approach. We take each child’s interests and develop a learning experience for the child.
Environment
We have one large bright welcoming room and a large outdoor play area. Our curriculum offers a range of activities including role play, fine and gross motor skills, dance, art, construction play, sand and water play, social and communication skills and lots of time spent outdoors in our purpose built playground discovering the natural materials our outdoor play area has to offer. We tailor our curriculum to avoid repetition ensuring that the children completing two years enjoy new fun and exciting challenges.
Staff
Our teachers are highly qualified and passionate about the children in their care and in supporting their needs in a fun and safe environment. It is recognised that these early years lay the foundations to your child’s primary education.
Communication with Parents/Gaurdians
Parents receive weekly updates, monthly newsletters, photographs and written observations on your child’s progress using a parent friendly app called Teachkloud. This has been a very successful communication tool with parents.
